About us
IT ALL STARTED WHEN...
We met while attending Chiropractic School at Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington, MN.
The love of the outdoors, sports, music, exercise, good food, books, learning, friends, family and of course chiropractic continued to bring us closer together. We were married in 2006 and opened a chiropractic practice based on wellness and health that same year.
We are now proud parents and proud to call South Dakota our home.
We feel continually blessed to be able to serve the community with health solutions and pain relief based on true health and wellness principles.
Dr. Shane
While playing basketball and baseball at the University of Sioux Falls, I suffered from a severe case of low back pain. After weeks of pushing through the pain, I finally decided to see a chiropractor and after one visit (that’s right, one visit!) the back pain vanished and didn’t return for the remainder of the season.
That experience led me to learn more about chiropractic and natural health care. What started as simply wanting to get out of pain, turned into my passion and career.
I’m passionate about educating others about chiropractic and living a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy speaking to my patients and the public about healthy living.
Whether it be nutrition, supplementation, stress reduction, pain relief, or exercise recommendations, I would love to help.
Dr. Laura
Following a car accident when I was in high school, I suffered severe headaches, migraines and mood changes. Once a very active, social high school student and athlete, I was now in severe pain, which constantly limited my social and sporting activities. Doctor after doctor and medication after medication offered me no relief.
Things were getting worse until I finally tried chiropractic. For the first time in a long time, I had relief. After continued chiropractic treatment, I no longer suffered headaches and migraines, and my energy and social interest returned. I was able to reduce and remove all the medications I was taking and life was good again.
I attended St. Scholastica College in Duluth and trained as a biathlete (skiing and shooting) for the Minnesota Biathlon team. Chiropractic school followed, and so did Dr. Shane.
I am a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association and have a special interest in taking care of families, pregnant women, infants, and children.
I trained in:
the Webster Technique, a technique for pregnant women that aligns the pelvis to allow for optimum baby position during delivery
as a doula
in hypnobirthing.
